Children’s Sacramental Programs and Religious Education Classes
Our Mission
“In light of the Holy Spirit, Our Faith Formation Program is called to serve and evangelize the community in our Catholic faith by offering them the experience to encounter the presence of Christ, grow a deeper relationship with God, and begin a lifelong journey of faith.“
Our Program
Our Lady of Hope’s Religious Education program is designed to help those entrusted to our care to learn about their faith, develop a close personal relationship with God, and live life according to this relationship and their beliefs. When you first chose to have your child Baptized you promised to bring your child up in the faith. As parents, you were the first catechists for your child. You continue to be their primary catechists daily through your words and actions. You are the role model they have to follow in practicing their faith.
Our program offers a structured formal religious education for all: the little ones (ages 3-5) in Little People’s Church; students in grades 1-8 in our Tuesday evening classes; those preparing for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Communion and Confirmation during our Sunday family programs; and those interested in becoming Catholics through RCIC. We can only do so much in the short amount of time we spend with your children. It is for this reason, that we encourage and rely on you to support the efforts of our catechists. Make sure your children attend classes, complete the assignments, and engages in the service projects sponsored by OLH. Review and discuss the weekly lessons with them. Find ways not only to talk about them, but show in word and deeds how they can practice their faith at home, at school, at Church and in the community.
2020 Confirmation Program
The documents in the packet are important and required material for all confirmation candidates! We recommend you print these documents so you have the information as well as forms handy during the Confirmation Program. To view the photos from the 2019 Confirmation Mass.
