These special ministers answer a special calling to visit the sick and homebound and bring them the Body of Christ. They visit generally on Friday mornings. All go through a period of parish training and attend a six-session training seminar offered by the Archdiocese. While visiting, they bring these parishioners up to date on parish news, bring the bulletin, assist in arranging for special needs, and most importantly, pray with them and bring them Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. Ministers of Care must attend a series of training sessions offsite and will receive a mandate from the Archdiocese of Chicago.
